At Webber Metals, we’re serious about safety. We’re committed to providing a safe, clean and rewarding work environment for all of our employees. We train all of our employees on several topics including, but not limited to, personal protective equipment, forklift licensing, lock/out tag/out, ergonomic training, severe weather, hazardous communications, fire evacuation plans and blood borne pathogens. We also provide job specific training on an ongoing basis covering things such as hand safety, overhead cranes, chains and hoists, eye safety training, AED and CPR Classes, GHS Training, back safety, safety leadership and active shooter training. We implement new safety measures constantly and have invested heavily in equipment to avoid injuries. Our equipment is updated or replaced if any safety issues arise. We encourage employees to submit ideas and observations of any potential problems and many of our new safety measures are a direct result of that input.
